Thus, the "notification" may have simplified the process, but things are not so simple, because the responsibility now belongs to the businessman, who should be sure that his business meets the urban, sanitary, fire and other provisions.

Therefore, in order to be sure of the legitimacy of his business, the entrepreneur should, before starting its operation, turn to an engineer, who knows the legislation on business licenses and will help him find the right place and To "set up" a legitimate business, avoiding future problems and entanglements with the competent services.

STEP 1
Investigation in the Building Service (Urban Planning) if allowed by the land uses, in this area the establishment of the specific store (eg restaurant, workshop, etc.).

STEP 2
Submission to the Municipality OF APPLICATION FOR GRANTING A CERTIFICATE FOR INSTALLATION IN THE SPECIFIC LOCATION

The application states the name, address, type of store and the activity of the company.

The application details the address of the company (street - number - area) and attaches a topographic sketch or google map, which shows the exact location of the company under installation.

If the store is in an apartment building:

a) together with the application, the regulation of the apartment building is submitted to the Municipality that the type of its business is not prohibited,

b) in the absence of a regulation, a responsible statement of the owner is submitted that there is no regulation of an apartment building.


The Municipality is obliged to issue the certificate within fifteen days. In case of rejection, it must be justified in detail. The certificate is valid for five months.

STEP 3
Store configuration

After the issuance of the certificate by the Municipality, the entrepreneur in collaboration with the engineer must properly configure the required spaces, after issuing a SMALL LICENSE LICENSE, where required.

STEP 4
Starting a business

Once the business is ready and before its operation:

a) The business is started at the Tax Office and gets activity codes (KAD).

b) The entrepreneur pays the corresponding fee to the Cash Service of the Municipality.

c) The entrepreneur receives from the Cash Service a certificate of non-debt to the Municipality (municipal information).

STEP 5

Notification to the Municipality

The interested party in collaboration with his engineer enters with the taxis codes and announces his activity in the Municipality through the website www.notifybusiness.gov.gr.

The engineer is required in the notification because the system requires the completion of business data, such as location, KAD, building permit, area, theoretical population, size factor, whether to develop table seats or not, whether to use music , the protocol number of the above certificate, the toll number, etc.
